A few words

Indian National Forum of Art and Culture (INFAC) is a public charitable trust recognised by the Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue (Income Tax) and is an ISO9001: 2015 certified organisation which has since 2005 been relentlessly working to promote and invigorate, amongst other, visual art (in the arena of painting , sculpture, graphic art, etc.) through organising workshops, holding seminars and exhibitions in different parts of the country.

 

Highlights of INFAC’s star achievements in the field

Workshops

  • November 4 to 13, 2006 – “Chintamony Kar Art Workshop Camp” was organised in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre , Ministry of Culture , Government of India, with the participation of more than 250 artists from all over India.
  • December 21 to 23, 2007 – Asia’s largest Art Workshop Camp was organised in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre , Ministry of Culture , Government of India, with the participation of more than 550 artists from all over India and from Bangladesh, France, Japan, UK, Srilanka.
  • Exhibitions

    • March 21 to 27, 2007- All-India Exhibition held at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. The former chief Justice of Bombay High Court Chittotosh Mookherjee inaugurated the exhibition.
    • March 18 to 24, 2008 – All-India Exhibition held at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata.The former Chief Justice of Calcutta High Court S. S. Nijjar inaugurated the exhibition.
    • November 20 to 26, 2010 – All-India Exhibition held at Lalit Kala Akademy, Delhi. The Chief Guest was H.E. Tejendra Khanna, the Lt. Governor of Delhi. Guests of Honour were Dr. Karan Singh, M.P. and industrialist Shri S.K. Birla.
    • January 16 to 22, 2012 – All-India Exhibition held at Karnataka Chitrakala Parisath, Bengaluru. The Chief Guest was the Hon’ble Justice Shivraj V. Patil, former Judge of the Supreme Court of India.
    • June 15 to 17, 2017- All-India Exhibition held at Gaganendra Pradarshasala, Kolkata, to commemorate the birth sesquicentennial of Sister Nivedita. The exhibition was inaugurated by Pravrajika Amalaprana, General Secretary, Sri Sarada Math & Ramakrishna Sarada Mission.
    • September 4th & 5th, 2017- All-India Exhibition held at Abanindranath Tagore Art Gallery of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), Kolkata, to mark the canonization of Mother Teresa. The exhibition was inaugurated by Rev. Mary Prema , Superior General, Missionaries of Charity.
    • January 26 to 30, 2019- All-India Exhibition held at Bengal Gallery of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR), Kolkata, in collaboration with Alliance Française (France), ICCR (Kokata) and ABP Pratibha.
    • August 22 to 31, 2020 – Online All-India Exhibition held during Covid pandemic period to commemorate the 74th year of Indian Independence, in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) of Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The Exhibition showcased the works of 30 (thirty) young artists carefully selected from across the country.
    • Bestowing of Life Time Achievement Award (LTAA)

      • 2006 –LTAA to Paritosh Sen in Painting delivered by Stage & Film Actor Soumitra Chatterjee.
      • 2007 –LTAA to Sunil Paul in Sculpture delivered by industrialist S.K. Birla.
      • 2016 –LTAA to Niranjan Pradhan in Sculpture delivered by H.E. Kesahri Nath Tripathi, Governor of West Bengal
