SHYAM SHARMA – Painter

Shyam Sharma is an Indian print artist, author, and poet. Sharma started his career in 1966 as a lecturer at College of Arts and Crafts, Patna where he rose to become Head of the Department of Printmaking and later the Principal. His works have been displayed in solo and group exhibitions around the world. He has also been a member of the General Council of Lalit Kala Academy and the Chairman of the Advisory Board of National Modern Art Gallery Delhi. He has been awarded Padmashree by the Government of India.

Daw is a renowned art historian and art critic and is associated with INFAC since its formation in 2005.

DEEPAK ROY – Art teacher & Painter

A pass out from Kala-Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, West Bengal, India, Roy was the former HOD in Fine Arts, ISM, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. For 30 years, Roy has been promoting Indian art abroad in various forms, e.g., Mural, Miniature and experimental mediums. He is a versatile artist and has specialised in Graphic Art. His works can be seen in UAE – Dubai, Abu dhabi, Muscat, Hongkong and Australia.

A pass out in sculpture from Kala-Bhavana, Visva Bharati University, West Bengal, Dey has expertise ceramics, textile designing , Interior and landscape designing and is an acknowledged veteran in the field.

With experience of 30 years in corporate management, Alok developed serious passion for water colour and oil paintings since long past to bring a befitting diversion in his field of activities. He has participated in a numerous exhibitions in different parts of the country and received many awards for his artwork.

Binita Bandyopadhyay, Co-Chairperson

An Assistant Professor of Visual Arts at Grizzly College Of Education affiliated to Vinoba Bhave University at Koderma in Jharkhand, Binita did her B.F A. with Hons. in Graphic Art from Kala Bhavana, Visva Bharati , Santiniketan, and MFA with First class from her alma mater. She has uptil now held 10 solo exhibitions and participated in 52 group exhibitions.

Jayanta Khan, Convenor

A Diploma holder from Indian Society of Oriental Art, Khan did his Art Appreciation Course from Charukala Kendra, Kolkata, received training in Ceramic from SISI, Govt. of India, Kolkata, training in Fresco from Banasthali University, Rajasthan, and has been trained in Applied Art from Swar Sangam – Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata. With 25 years experience as a painter, Khan has held 8 solo, 3 duet, and participated in 86 group/annual shows, in India and abroad and has acted as a curator in 18 exhibitions.

A BFA from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata in 1980, Sarkar has 40 years experience as a painter. He has held 2 solo and participated in 45 group shows in India and abroad.

SOMA DAS, Member

Soma is an Assistant Professor, Printmaking Department, Govt College of Art and Craft , Calcuttta. She is a 1st Class -gold medalist in M.F.A. (Printmaking), with History of Art from SN School of Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad and did her B.F.A (printmaking) from Rabindra Bharati University in 1st class. Soma has participated in a number of group shows and workshops.

A disciple of Ramananda Bandopadhyay, Chatterjee is a painter with 30 Years experience in the line . He has participated in 3 solo and 75 group shows in India and abroad.
